Mindfulness for Children
An 8-week programme for primary-aged children, fostering resilience, confidence, self-esteem and social skills. Interactive sessions help children develop focus, emotional regulation and stress management. Activities
Chair yoga
Enjoy a friendly, supportive group while improving strength, flexibility and balance in a gentle, low-impact way. Each week, participants practise simple stretches, breathing techniques and mindful movement to relax the mind and body. Ideal for beginners or those with limited mobility. Moera Knitting Group
Enjoy a friendly, supportive group while knitting to help keep our community warm. Each week, members create baby packs, and hats, scarves, handwarmers and slippers for local schools, preschools and community groups. We provide materials or bring your own project. Moera Community Strollers
Enjoy good company and gentle exercise with this friendly walking group. Walking to a Hutt cafe for a relaxed cuppa and chat before returning is a great way to keep active, meet others and enjoy our local area together. Tuesday 10-12pm, meeting at Moera Community House. Contact: Anne 027 713 9810

Community Garden
This provides free vegetables, practical learning and social connection. New raised beds, including ones for local community groups, were added to meet growing demand. Popular crops include carrots, cucumbers, cabbage, cauliflower and silver beet.

Crafts and Cuppa
The Friday craft group provides a safe, supportive space for disabled people and carers to create, connect and build friendships. Everyone is welcome to join this friendly group, which provide materials at no cost. Meets Friday 10:30-11:30am during school terms at Moera Community House. Events
Moera Community House holds a number of events throughout the year, some with the collaboration with Te Kakano Marae and local community groups. These gatherings help people connect with each other, share feedback on community priorities, express volunteer interest and enjoy cultural activities, celebrating Moera’s diverse community.
